Corral fell in love with UF right away. College coaches have been salivating over him since he was a freshman. The West Coast talent emerged very early at Oaks Christian High out in Westlake Village, Calif., throwing for 1,375 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman. By the end of sophomore season he was in the discussion alongside Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence as the top signal-caller in the country, passing for 3,283 yards and 36 touchdowns to just six interceptions.A strong-armed passer that plays with a similar style to Brett Favre, Corral is always looking for the big play but also takes care of the football. His touch downfield is exceptional and effortless.Taking snaps from under center and the gun, Corral is a window fitter with the football, has a terrific feel for what’s going on around him and although he’s not a burner can extend plays with his good feet and feel in the pocket.Over the course of three seasons, Corral has completed his passes at a clip of 64 percent and only threw three interceptions as a junior en route to 3,025 yards passing and 22 scores.Playing his senior season at Long Beach (Fla.) Poly for former NFL linebacker Antonio Pierce (where Lavar Arrington and TJ Houshmazadeh are also on staff), Corral will then enroll early at Florida arriving with all the traits to compete right away.Ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 2 pro-style passer, Corral was all about Georgia when we talked to him at The Opening Finals in early July but once the former USC commit stepped foot in the Swamp for the first time he was blown away. Corral is commit No. 12 for a Florida class that all of a sudden has serious momentum with a chance to bring in one of America’s best offensive hauls nationally.Already in the fold with Corral is arguably the nation’s No. 1 tight end Kyle Pitts . A Big 12 coach reached out to 247Sports on […]
