Even after back-to-back losses to South Carolina and Vanderbilt, Florida remained in the Associated Press Top 25 this week.
The Gators (14-5) dropped six spots to No. 25 in this week’s AP poll, marking the fifth straight week that UF has stayed in the rankings.
Florida will get a chance to bounce back from its two-game losing streak with games Wednesday at LSU and Saturday at Oklahoma in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. Florida coach Mike White has dubbed this week as a crossroads for the team.
“Certain teams in our league and certain teams throughout the country in college basketball, right about now, head upward and some head downward,” White said following UF’s 68-66 home loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday. “We want to be the first and we weren’t.”
