(Photo: 247Sports) Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was hired to become the head coach at Florida Atlantic on Monday. That evening, Florida extended an offer to Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis four-star quarterback and current Crimson Tide commit Tua Tagovailoa .
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Tagovailoa was the MVP of the Elite 11 Finals in July after competing against many of the nation’s top signal callers. However, the U.S. Army All-American is an early enrollee with plans to stick with Alabama despite the departure of Kiffin.
The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Tagovailoa as the nation’s No. 33 overall prospect and the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 class.
